Starting out: A glimpse at the station logo for First Western Railroad at one station. Can't quite explain why the logo appears to be a CRW (or WCR), but either way I liked the filigrees and font design, just a nice, clean touch. I rode with a window seat facing forward, which was nice (though I wouldn't realize until nearly the end of the week that I'd actually ridden in someone else's assigned window, front-facing seat, as no one told me to move and I was too dense to realize I was in the wrong car). The view was completely worth the entire trip: Unlike a lot of train trips I've taken in the U.S. we didn't pass through the butt-end of the cities we were stopping in. |
