Nothing will make you feel more like a tourist than taking pictures of random monuments. This one, set up to honor those who've drowned on the coastline (and which offers up a bit of historical triva, too; see plaque below), should have been isolated and quiet. Instead, a trio of women were perched on a bench, enjoying the sundown. So I took my pictures and felt silly doing it, but that is part of the whole tourism rap.

My question is, what did they do with "bodies cast up by the sea" prior to the passing of the Gryll's Act?
